Gender in our culture is a binary construct that many times is used to discriminate against anyone who does not fit into those limited binary boxes. In reality gender is not binary at all it is a continuum, a spectrum and buffet of lovely options to play with and enjoy. The Gender Sensei teaches about that continuum in a fun, interactive and warm way.
Mac breaks down the barriers between all aspects of the gender spectrum in a clear and compassionate way. Using his own experience as a trans man to lend to his deep and personal understanding of trans and LGBTQI issues and obstacles. Mac has the ability to connect with all people, regardless of gender, sexuality, social class, education, or experience level. With this natural ability, he is able to reach out to ALL people when he teaches about gender and diversity. Always allowing an open and safe space for people to ask sensitive, difficult or what they may think are embarrassing, ignorant, or offensive questions.
As the Gender Sensei, Mac is asked to speak publicly as a representative for the trans community. He does individual coaching about personal, family or relationship issues surrounding being transgendered. He teaches classes and workshops about gender in various venues, conferences and corporations around the country. Mac also offers classes in activism, self defense, empowerment and embracing your sexuality.
