Pixelitor is an open source image editor that supports layers, layer masks, text layers, filters, multiple undo etc. It requires Java 8 or higher. As of 4.2.3, it has more than 110 image filters and color adjustments, some of which are unique to Pixelitor. Some of the gradients can also be found only here.
Note that Pixelitor is intended to be powerful rather than simple. You should have some experience with image editors in order to use it, because there isn't much documentation available yet, and many concepts (layers, blending modes, cropping, Gaussian blurring, unsharp masking, histograms, etc.) are the same.

Feedback: If you like Pixelitor, or if you have suggestions or questions regarding the Pixelitor functionality or user interface, feel free to contact the author (László Balázs-Csíki) at lbalazscs at gmail.com. I am looking forward to your feedback. Creating an issue is also a good place for bug reports and feature requests.
Saving files: if you want to save every information, including the layer structure, use the the PXC format. Note that 'pxc' files can be opened only in Pixelitor. You can save the image in the OpenRaster format (which also supports image layers) if you want to open the image layers in Gimp, Krita, Paint.net, etc., but note that as there is no support for layer masks and text layers in OpenRaster, some information may be lost. If you only want to save the final image, you can save to the common jpeg, png, bmp or gif formats.

National Standard Taper Pipe Threads Size NPT Chart - Includes both External and internal Pipe Thread Data. The taper rate for all NPT threads is 1⁄16 (3⁄4 inch per foot) measured by the change of diameter (of the pipe thread) over distance. The angle between the taper and the center axis of the pipe is 1° 47'′ 24'″ (1.7899°). Commonly-used sizes are 1/⁄8, 1/⁄4, 3/⁄8, 1⁄/2, 3⁄/4, 1, 1 1⁄/4, 1 1⁄/2, and 2 inch, appearing on pipes and fittings by most U.S. suppliers. Sizes smaller than 1/⁄8 inch are occasionally used for compressed air, while sizes larger than 2 inches are uncommon, due to the use of alternative methods of joining that are used with these larger sizes. NPT is defined by ANSI/ASME standard B1.20.1.
Nominal Pipe Size is loosely related to the inside diameter of Schedule 40 pipe. Because of the pipe wall thickness, the actual diameter of the threads is larger than the NPS, considerably so for small NPS. Other schedules of pipe have different wall thickness but the OD (outer diameter) and thread profile remain the same, so the inside diameter of the pipe is therefore different from the nominal diameter.
