Install the latest version of Cyberduck. Open the client and click Open Connection. Select the FTP-SSL (for FTP or FTPES connections) or the SFTP option from the drop-down menu at the top of this screen. In the server field, enter the following: ftp.egnyte.com. Example: ftp-acme.egnyte.com. Checked the Cyberduck and FileZilla settings and procedures against their help pages; contacted the webhost, who confirmed that there is no problem their end and I should have access; tested the connection for myself with www.net2ftp.com; contacted my broadband supplier, who confirmed that there are no issues with the router that may affect FTP.

This document provides the information to connect to your cPanel account via SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol or Secure File Transfer Protocol). SFTP provides file access, transfer, and management tools that resemble FTP through a secure SSH connection. However, SFTP is notmerely FTP over SSH. Instead, it is an entirely separate protocol.

Configure your SFTP client
SFTP clients typically require the following information to connect to a server:
